I used to run away from my family, relationships and work. I thought that if I told my truth, they would leave me, and I would be alone. I lied to them, I lied to myself. 

Until I realized that I didn't have to live like this anymore!

As a registered counsellor, certified somatic therapist and trauma touch therapist, I can now see clearly how in the past I was dealing with unnecessary stuffed-up emotions and missed the possible freedom from my struggles.

Specialities

Somatic therapy focuses on helping your system recover from overwhelming and scary experiences that happened to you in the past. People often describe themselves as "I feel stuck," or "I just can't relax." 

There is no need to explain what happened to you. The body holds the information when you listen.

Our life is not always predictable. We all have something scary that has happened to us in the past. That can be your parents fighting, experiencing natural disasters or accidents, or undergoing medical procedures, etc. We are not born with the skills to cope with those events, and those experiences leave a roadblock.  

Relationship problems are often rooted in childhood, past relationships, attachment styles, and unhealthy personal narratives. 

If you are experiencing extreme sadness, constant worrying or a desire to isolate when a conflict arises, this may be a sign to pause and check in with yourself with honesty and curiosity.
